Richard moved to a village near Bath, 10 years ago with his wife and 2 daughters.
He began painting from a small studio at home, returning to his first love, fine art, after running a successful jewellery design business for 12 years.
During that time he designed collections for Paul Smith, Theo Fennell, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Molton Brown, Fenwicks and Ally Capellino in the UK and for Barneys New York, Gump San Fransisco, CK Tang Singapore, Joyce Boutiques Hong Kong and Anglobal Japan amongst others as well as many private clients.
He has also taught in various universities and art colleges including Brighton University, Camberwell School of Art and Epsom School of Art. He currently teaches Painting and Drawing and Art History at a sixth form college in Bristol.
